DSP Qualifications and responsibilities:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Assist with medication management
- State Background check for all applicants
- Be legally eligible to work in the United States
- Experience as PSW or DSP and/or have at least 2 years of experience working with intellectually and/or developmentally disabled individuals.
- Minimum of high school diploma or demonstrated equivalent
- Physical ability to bend, lift and carry at least fifty (50) pounds of weight without assistance.
- Own a smartphone
- Independent worker with the ability to actively participate in developing and implementing plans to meet the needs of the individuals we serve.
- Excellent communicator

- Self-motivated and dependable
- Have reliable transportation and proof of insurance
- Be able to communicate with individuals, case managers, health care providers as needed.
- Be literate and capable of communicating written and oral communication
- Be able to always respond to emergency situations when services are being delivered.
Position expectations are defined as the following and may include, but are not limited in-home supports and skills:
- In-home supports & skills: cooking, cleaning, medication assistance, scheduling, attend medical appointments, shopping, transportation, housing, and budgeting
- Community inclusion supports & skills: social events, safety, volunteering, advocating, and transportation
